Emily and Brent

Ashley and I photographed Emily and Brent's wedding on June 4th. Yes, the blog is still that far behind, but it's getting better. Emily and Brent's wedding was in the Waukee and West Des Moines area. The ceremony was at the beautiful St. Boniface in Waukee. We've shot weddings here in the past and love the layout and lighting. It is one of our favorites. The sun shines throughout the church and provides a great setting for a church. We work in some dark churches at times, so this one is a great change. Photography requires light and the more the better.


The weather was perfect and we made great use of it. The wedding party hung out at a local establishment in West Glen for a bit and we snapped a ton of shots with the wedding party and just the bride and groom right there. The parking garage and surrounding area provided a good location for photos. Just as a side note, I am not nor will I ever be a bus mechanic. The bus driver was having issues with a lift on the front step. Luckily it got fixed right before we took off to go to another spot. We stopped on the well manicured grounds of the Farm Bureau campus. We were able to get a few shots with just Emily and Brent here before heading to the reception.


It was a great day and these two had a beautiful wedding. Families, friends, bridal party, bride and groom were all amazing to work with and made for a great hiccup free day. Congratulations to Emily and Brent!
