As Ashley and I arrived we could watch as everyone tried to decide what to do with the pending weather in question. Should the ceremony still be outside since chairs would have to be setup? Should they move it under the tent? Should they move the ceremony to a closer green rather than the original choice? In the end it was the weather that decided for them. The ceremony would have to be moved under the tent with the reception. We wanted to take photos outside as well. So we started taking photos outside as quickly as we could. Then we got some rain. So we setup to take photos inside. To provide consistency throughout the photos we started re-shooting what we had done outside. Then the rain stopped. So we headed back outside. Keep shooting, quickly. As you will see below the skies were not friendly and it was pretty windy.
While waiting for the ceremony to start we encountered some of the closest lightning strikes I have ever seen. We were standing in a puddle under the tent with three 22 foot poles holding it up.... Then the power went out.... twice. These two kept their good attitudes and everything turned out great once the weather passed. We got plenty of indoor and outdoor shots. Below are a few of our favorites. Congratulations Ashley and Aaron!
