Kellie and Brian

This past weekend Chad Doty, of Harpoon Photo, and I photographed Kellie and Brian's wedding in Ames, IA. Most people are aware of the recent flooding that took place in Ames. As we can all understand, it caused some stress for our bride and groom. The reception was held at the Iowa State Alumni Center which just one week ago was lake front property to Squaw Creek Lake. No damage or much interruption to the wedding at all. Although, I did manage to get stuck on the wrong side of the tracks...literally. We ended up on the wrong side of a construction dead end. We could see the church on the other side of the train tracks, but had to back track around the tracks to get to it.


Kellie and Brian did a great job of planning for photos and allowing us plenty of opportunities and time to get some great shots. I was able to ride along on the party bus, which lacked air conditioning , and get some fun photos. I did however forget my water along the way. It was hot. We made stops at Moore Memorial Park, Lagomarcino Hall, and Sips(which you will have to ask the bride and groom about). We also stole some time to get shots at the Alumni Center.
