Laura and Steve

This past Saturday Ashley and I photographed Laura and Steve's wedding.  The theme of the day was HOT.  It was quite the scorcher.  However, we also encountered rain drops, lightning, and thunder.  Laura and Steve had decided to have a first sight moment.  So we headed over to Parkview Lake in Urbandale for some shots alone and also with the wedding party.  As we arrived at the park we heard some thunder, felt some rain, and started sweating.  Laura and Steve had a medium to large wedding party, so the group shots called for some extra closeness.....might have been a little warm for being too close.  We all made it through and the wedding party was awesome to work with.  The reception was held at the Historical Building in downtown Des Moines.  Even the heat and sun couldn't ruin the big moment.  Although, the ice cream cake would disagree.  Ashley and I had great time and enjoyed every moment of this beautiful wedding.  Congratulations Laura and Steve!
